Happy Earth Day!!!

Ozone layer heals as the Earth is able to take a breather from humans.

So this is an unexpected gift--who would have considered that the waters of Venice could clear, and the skies could be free of smog (even in L.A.!) in such a short time! It is truly miraculous! And from what I'm hearing, many of the people infected with Covid19 got it because of the toxins and pollution where they live. So what does this tell us? That answer is obvious, but does it matter to the people in charge? It will in many countries who already take climate change seriously, but here? Trump will never admit to climate change, nor does he give a rat's ass for our environment. Money is king in the great U.S. of A. and we will do whatever is necessary to get it, including destroying our beautiful Earth.

I hope fervently that what we've seen through the eyes of this pandemic will wake us up to the truth. In order to save future generations we have to look out for our home. Because without our home we will die out as a species. Make no mistake. So please spread the word, pass the information out to anyone and everyone you know. Take this moment, this beautiful Earth Day and run with it...take the terrible tragedy and peer underneath to what it is trying to tell us. Once this is all over don't let it all fade into oblivion. Getting on with our lives means being conscious about everything we do and how we do it.

The Dark Goddess

I am the dark goddess, the one who wants to destroy everything and start anew. I am rageful, furious, murderous and seductive, my energy is power, the power to bring it all down, the power to stop the wind before it starts, the power to bring storms, to make the oceans rise up and cover the earth, the power to take down all the old paradigms, the patriarchal, the masculine, everything that does not serve. What I want is change.

The powers that be do not like me. They don't like the feminine energy, they say that females should know their place. They have no business leading or even being angry. They are shrill, not equipped to lead.

But there was once a time in the distant past when the feminine ruled, when women led the way. It was a prosperous time when everyone had what they needed, when money and absolute power took a back seat to life lived with love. But because they were fair, they decided to let the men rule for a while. That's when the wars began, when civilizations began to take over the land and twist what was important. Nature became a stepping stone as the men destroyed it to find riches and to make the world over in their image. Dominion turned from caretakers to utter disregard. Instead of the divine they sought wealth and ways to find more wealth. Nothing could stand in their way.

Change is inevitable. Old ways must be destroyed to usher in the new. But the old ways are entrenched and the male energy that runs things does not want what they have to disappear. It will take a summoning to bring it down--a summoning of those who want a different world. They will burn down the greed and usher in the light of consciousness. The dark goddess will lead the way with the burning flame of truth held high. The feminine will once again rule the world.

Sheltering in place

If we allow this time to reset, we will be in Wu Wei. There are good things to come out of this terrible time, different ways of being, realizations that strike us all at once. We have stopped our frantic running around and have come to a place of stillness. And if we can let go of fear and despair we can see how important this is. Gratitude for what we have.

For those who are sick or have sick loved ones, my heart goes out to you. So far we've been lucky--but you never know what lies around the corner. All we can do is pay attention, be careful, and do what we need to do to stay safe. And in the meantime find the still point in the chaos. This too shall pass. And maybe it will usher in a new way to do things--goddess knows we need that!
